Welcome to the Virginia Tech
Guide-to-Health Research Project

The Center for Research in Health Behavior of the Psychology Department at Virginia Tech invites adults (ages 18-63) who are healthy, but inactive, to participate in an 18 month-long nutrition and walking research project.
  • The Guide to Health program is delivered completely through the internet.
  • It is designed to help users build a healthy walking routine that fits their lifestyles.
  • It is also designed to teach users how to eat healthier foods for better energy balance.
  • The program is ideal for avoiding the weight gain that so many adults experience.
The Guide to Health program is a research clinical trial. Participation in the trial is limited to several hundred people who fit its qualification guidelines. To determine if you may meet its qualification guidelines, you will be asked to complete an assessment before you may enroll.
